These terms can change, and it's on you to check back here occasionally so you're working from the current version. Signing up as a member, or simply using our services, means you've accepted whatever version is live at the time.

1. How Billing Works

Membership is billed annually, in advance, at whichever rate applies to the plan you selected when you joined. Everything is priced in GBP.

Your billing date is set the day you subscribe and repeats on that date each year. If that date lands on a weekend or public holiday, we'll process payment the next working day — a "Business Day" here means any day the clearing banks in the City of London are open for standard commercial transactions.

2. Paying Us

We take credit card, debit card, or bank transfer, and it's on you to keep your payment details current and accurate.

If a payment fails, we'll try again. If it's still unresolved after 7 days, we may pause or end your membership until it's sorted. If your card expires or your billing address changes, update it — letting it lapse can trigger the same suspension.

3. Your First Two Weeks

New members get a 14-day cooling-off period from the date your subscription activates, during which you can cancel for a full refund. If you've already used any services in that window, we'll deduct a reasonable amount to cover them before refunding the rest — and any refund is net of handling costs like payment processing fees. To use this, email info@execforumgroup.com and we'll process it quickly.

4. Refunds Generally

Outside the 14-day window, fees already charged aren't refundable. Where a refund does apply, it comes net of handling fees — if our payment processor charged us to take your payment originally, that portion doesn't come back to you, and neither do costs tied to any services you've already used. We also don't prorate for mid-term cancellations; once you're past the cooling-off period, that term is paid in full regardless of when you stop using it.

5. Ending Your Membership

You can cancel any time by emailing info@execforumgroup.com. Doing so stops future charges, but you keep access through the end of your current billing cycle — there's no prorated refund for the unused remainder outside the cooling-off period.

We can also end your membership on our side, without refund, if you breach these terms or misuse our services — and any fees still owed become due immediately.

6. If Prices Change

We may adjust subscription pricing. You'll get at least 30 days' notice by email before any change takes effect. If the new price doesn't work for you, cancel before it kicks in — just email info@execforumgroup.com.

7. When Payment Doesn't Go Through

Failed payments — insufficient funds, expired card, whatever the cause — get retried. If we still can't collect after 7 days, we may suspend or end your membership. Once the balance is settled, access comes back.

8. Taxes

Quoted fees don't include VAT or other applicable taxes. Those are added at checkout or billing, and you're responsible for them unless the law says otherwise.

9. If Something's Wrong With Your Bill

Spot an error? Tell us within 30 days of the billing date at info@execforumgroup.com and we'll look into it, issuing a refund or credit if warranted.

Please raise it with us directly before filing a chargeback. Going straight to a chargeback can result in suspension or termination, and if the dispute turns out to be unjustified, we can recover the associated costs — including chargeback and legal fees — from you.

10. Promotions

Any discount, trial, or promotional offer comes with its own specific terms, is non-transferable, and is generally limited to one per member. Once it expires, your membership renews at the standard rate unless you've cancelled before then.

11. When Events Change

If we cancel or reschedule an event, no cancellation fee applies, and we'll let you know by email. If it's rescheduled, your RSVP carries over to the new date automatically — you're free to cancel instead, subject to our usual cancellation policy.

We're not liable for cancellations caused by Force Majeure — meaning events genuinely outside our control that we couldn't reasonably have prevented: natural disasters, fire, pandemic, strikes, government action, sanctions, civil unrest or terrorism, a speaker's illness or withdrawal, venue damage, server failure, data loss, or anything comparable.

12. Late Cancellations and No-Shows

Miss the 72-hour cancellation window for an event, and a £50 + VAT fee applies (this may vary by event). We'll invoice it within 5 business days of the missed event or late cancellation.

If you think the charge is wrong, or there's a genuine reason — a medical emergency, for instance — email info@execforumgroup.com within 5 business days of the invoice and we'll review it. Outstanding balances can result in your membership being paused until they're cleared.

13. Keeping Your Payment Details Safe

Payments are encrypted and handled by a third-party processor; we don't hold your card details on our own servers. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

14. If We Update These Terms

We'll give at least 30 days' notice of any change before it takes effect. Carrying on using the Forum after that point means you've accepted the update — and if you haven't, you're free to cancel beforehand.

15. What This Agreement Is (and Isn't)

These terms form a contract between you and The Exec Forum. They don't create a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between us, and neither of us can act on the other's behalf beyond what's explicitly stated here.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

17. If We Can't Agree

Got a complaint? Start with info@execforumgroup.com — we'd rather sort it out directly than let it escalate. If we genuinely can't reach an amicable resolution, either of us can refer the dispute to mediation, with a single independent mediator experienced in commercial disputes in England and Wales (at least 12 months' experience), costs split evenly. If mediation doesn't resolve it, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
